Deadline for entries in the SVP Kerry and Cork draw for a brand new Ford Focus is this Friday.
ST Vincent De Paul is hoping Kerry people buy ticket in their annual car draw before the deadline for entries this Friday.
The SVP South-West region of Cork and Kerry has seen an unprecedented amount of calls for help throughout the final months of 2021, with an average of 1000 people a week reaching out to seek assistance.
This Friday January 7th at 12 noon marks the deadline for entries for their draw and the chance to win a brand-new Ford Focus ST-Line as well as cash prizes with all proceeds going to SVP Cork and Kerry branches.

One in six callers to SVP in Kerry and Cork reported that they are struggling to pay essential utility bills such as gas, electricity and fuel, with a number of people in significant arrears with utility suppliers after an embargo imposed during the pandemic to prevent people from being cut off was lifted by the Government.
The charity says that more people than ever are contacting them seeking help and support, with 15% of callers last month recorded as first -time callers.
With fundraising opportunities greatly diminished for the last couple of years as a result of the pandemic, SVP South-West has said it is under severe pressure across all of their core services. The Annual Car Draw is SVP’s largest fundraising drive each year.
Regional President of SVP Paddy O’Flynn said the Cork and Kerry public has always been extremely generous and the charity was blown away by public support last year.
However, he added that the Society was deeply concerned that there is a perception that the difficulty and challenges that SVP face this year have diminished in comparison to 2020.
Tickets for the raffle cost €5 each, or €20 for five tickets, and can be returned in the Freepost SVP envelope or dropped into the SVP Regional Office at Ozanam House, 2 Tuckey Street, Cork or Unit 2 Monavalley Business Park, Tralee.

The draw will take on Wednesday, January 12th at CAB Motor Company showrooms, with the Lord Mayor in attendance, where the winners will be announced.
