Wind And Rain To Lash Kerry As Warnings Issued

KERRY will see a stormy end to 2024 with wind and rain warnings issued by Met Eireann until Friday.

A Status Orange – Wind warning was issued for Kerry again this morning, after Storm Gerrit brought heavy rain last night to the county.

There say there will be strong to gale force westerly winds, coupled with spring tides and coastal flooding is likely. The warning is valid from 3pm today until midnight but it’s already blustery with heavy rain lashing the Tralee area.

From midnight, a Status Yellow wind warning will take effect until 6am on Friday morning. Meanwhile a Status Yellow rain warning is also already in effect for the county until midnight.

Thursday will be windy with squally showers but there will be some dry spells and tomorrow night looks like being relatively dry.

Friday will also see a lot of dry spells while, Saturday looks like a mixture of sunshine and showers while Sunday at this stage look like a very wet day.
