Wind And Rain Warnings Come Into Effect For Kerry Later Today

MET Eireann has issued a Status Yellow – Wind warning Kerry and the rest of Munster to take effect later tonight.

It will become very windy with southeast winds, veering southwest gusting up to 110km/h, higher on exposed coasts and hills.

Potential Impacts include damage to temporary structures, travel disruption, power outages and wave overtopping. The warning will be in effect from 9pm tonight until 6am on Saturday morning.

They had already issued a Status Yellow Rain Warning to take effect from 2pm today until 3am on Saturday morning.

There will be heavy downpours throughout the day and spot flooding is a possibility. Judging by the Met.ie predicted rainfall radar, in the Tralee area there will be frequent showers in the afternoon before persistent rain from around 5pm.
