BUSINESSES in Tralee and all over the county are encouraged to get into training for an event which takes place this May.

Sponsored by Aspen Grove, the Optimal Fitness 5k/10k Challenge on May 7 welcomes both seasoned runners and beginners. It is aimed at encouraging social running among the business community.

“Overall wellness and improved productivity in the workplace is vitally important,” said Michelle Greaney of Optimal Fitness. “Employers can help improve this by encouraging their staff to train and partake in this event. If you are new to running, it will encourage ye to train and get fit together while taking the first steps towards completing a manageable 5k.”
