A TRALEE woman went on a Winning Streak of her own last Saturday and scooped a cool €28,000 from the National Lottery TV gameshow on RTÉ One.
Rose Roche, who lives in Blennerville, stated she had no nerves at all ahead of her Winning Streak appearance last weekend.
She was, however, so excited having initially refused to believe it was her name Marty and Sinead drew from the drum. And a great night she had too, bagging a tidy €28,000 from the show on RTÉ One.

Rose is married to Maurice and the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this year and they celebrated 50 years of marriage.
The couple have five adult children: Martina, Aileen, Maurice, Noel and David Francis. She has five grandchildren (Matthew, George, Adam, Grace and Gregor) and one great grandchild, Michael.
During the day Rose is very active in the family business – Roche & Sons Monumental Sculptors in Tralee.
Maurice is a sculptor by trade and so are two of his sons. Rose looks after the business accounts and many other things behind the scenes. When she has some down time she says her dog, Max (a Miniature Pinscher) takes her for a walk!
Rose considers herself as a very lucky person and said that in Maurice she has the best husband in the world and the best family in the world. She will look after her family and all the grandchildren with her winnings from the show.
Meanwhile, another person from Kerry enjoyed a spot of luck on the show. Players can also send their scratch card stubs into the National Lottery where each week, on the show, a player will be drawn as the winner of a Luxury Cruise for two valued at €5,000. The winner of this week’s cruise was Jurate Kanisauskiene from Killarney.
