Canon Moss O’Connell, Hall of Fame Recipient 2018 with the Abbeydorney contingent on the All-Ireland Inter-County and Club Winning Camogie teams at the annual social recently.

HAPPY NEW YEAR : Abbeydorney GAA Club would like to wish all players, sponsors, members, patrons, supporters, families and friends at home an abroad, all the very best for 2020 and thank them for their continued support throughout 2019.

OPERATION TRANSFORMATION : Abbeydorney GAA will kick start the decade with their Operation Transformation Walks, starting this Thursday, 9th January @ 7.15pm. Meeting Point is The Complex. Contact Donal : 087-4128030 with any queries.

SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT : The Club’s Senior Awards night will take place on Saturday, 1st February @ 8.00pm in The Complex. All are welcome to attend.

Charity Camogie/Hurling game on St. Stephens Day

CHARITY HURLING/CAMOGIE GAME : Many Thanks to all who turned out on a wet St. Stephen’s Day for our charity game between the All-Ireland winning Camogie team and an Over-40s North Kerry selection, raising €525 for Pieta House, Tralee. Thanks to Fiona for supplying the hot refreshments at the game to keep our supporters and players content, our referee, chairman Ger McCarthy, Mike Parker for supplying refreshments and photography and Paddy Weir and Crotta GAA for use of their facilities.

CONGRATULATIONS : to Darragh O’Connell who was part of the C.B.S. Tralee team that defeated Mercy Mounthawk to win the Munster Post Primary U19 E Final.

INTER-COUNTY : Michael Slattery was the club’s representative on the Kerry Senior Hurling Team that was defeated by Cork and Waterford in the Munster Senior Hurling League recently.
