SENIORS
Our seniors opened their Div 4 campaign on St. Patrick’s day away to Scartaglen. Our lads started well but went in a point down at half time. We had a 1 point lead coming up to full time. However, Scartaglen scored a free at the death to draw the game.
Final score Scartaglen 0-10 Ardfert 0-10. Next up is a home game against Knocknagoshel on the weekend of 2nd/3rd April.
The first game in the Development league takes place on Sunday 27th at 12pm when we host An Ghaeltacht B.
Ardfert was drawn in group 3 of the Kerry Petroleum Junior Premier Club Championship along with Waterville, Ballymacelligott & Keel and will play Ballymacelligott in round 1.
U5/7/9
Our Academy is back this week. Training for U5s, U7s & U9s begins this Thursday, 24thMarch, from 6-7pm at the ARC Astro turf beside the Medical Centre. Please bring €2 to cover costs.
U11
Great news for our U11s – training will commence on Monday 28th March in the Sportsfield from 6-7pm. New players welcome. All players should be registered on www.foireann.ie before then. U11 Go Games are scheduled to begin on April 14th.
U13
We have 2 teams playing in the Lee Strand County Football league which commences next weekend. Our Division 4 team begin their campaign with a trip to Finuge while our Division 11 team will host Kilcummin B. Both games are scheduled for Sunday at 6pm.
U15
Our U15s will compete in Division 3B of the Lee Strand County Football League this year. Their first game is a home fixture against Milltown/Castlemaine on Wednesday, 30th March, at 7pm.
U17
Our U17s had a great win over Churchill away on Saturday. It was a very strong team performance all over the field where every player gave their very best. Final score Churchill 1-03 Ardfert 3-08. Next up is Glenflesk on Monday 28th at home with the final game against Firies on April 4th, also at home.
CUL CAMP
This year’s football Cúl Camp is scheduled to take place in Ardfert from 18th – 22nd July.
