SENIOR FOOTBALL: The weather is still creating havoc with our fixtures. We were to have played three games in the Town League during the month of February and possibly a Final if we qualified.

So far we have only played one game – against Ballymac on the 2nd February.  The two outstanding games are against Mitchels and Rahillys.

In the meantime the Co. League is about to commence with our first round game, against Kenmare Shamrocks, fixed for Connolly Park on this coming Sunday (8th March) at 3pm.  No date fixed yet for the two postponed Town League games as we write.

MINOR FOOTBALL: Our Minors are in the same boat – they also have only played one game – that drawn game against Ballymac on the 4th February.

Two Town League games (against Na Gaeil and O’Rahillys) did not go ahead and two Co. League games (against Rathmore and Dr. Crokes) also fell foul to the weather.

We are now scheduled to play Na Gaeil in Connolly Park on this Saturday afternoon (7th March) at 3.30pm in round 3 of the Co. League and perhaps this will double up with the postponed Town League game but this game is also in doubt as we write.

JUNIOE FOOTBALL: Our B team are also due to start their Co. League (Div. 5) campaign as part of a double-header in Connolly Park on this coming Sunday (8th March). Kerins O’Rahillys will be the opposition. Throw-in time has been brought forward to 1pm..

WELL DONE: to the Kerry U20s, including our own Dylan Casey, Michael O’Gara and Seán Quilter, on their win last week against Limerick and the best of luck to them as they take on Cork in the Munster Final which goes ahead in Austin Stacks Park on this Wednesday night (4th March) at 7pm.

LAOCHRA GAEL: This Thursday’s (5th March) Laochra Gael Programme on TG4 at 9.30pm will feature our own Kieran Donaghy. If you miss it it will be repeated on the following night (Friday, 6th) at 11.20pm.

CLUBHOUSE: As always the Clubhouse is available for all types of Parties and Functions. Enquiries about Club Bookings should be made by contacting Harry Hynes at 087 2467286.
Bar opening hours are as follows: 7pm to 12.30am on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays, and 12 noon to 11pm on Sundays.

CARDS: The 45 Card Sessions continue in the Clubhouse on every Monday and Thursday nights, commencing at 9.30pm each night.

LOTTO: Last Night’s (2nd March) Jackpot, worth €13,300, was not won. The numbers drawn were 5, 13, 21, 31.
The €20 winners were: Liam Brennan, c/o Carmel O’Neill; Denis O’Sullivan, Shane O’Callaghan and Kathleen Moriarty, all c/o Rock Street Post Office; and Michael Carmody Jnr., c/o The Club.

Lotto Tickets are on regular sale at the Rock Street Post Office and at the Stacks Clubhouse, as well as from our other regular outlets. And from now on tickets will also be on sale at Kevin Barry’s Shop in Rock Street.

We continue to remind members that we are in competition with other clubs until April 2020 to retain our very important Lotto Franchise at our local post office on Rock St. Every time you are in the post office let Martin and staff know that you are a Rockie and to register your transaction in favour of Austin Stacks. The Club with the most points will win the franchise.
