CAMPA PEILE: All is ready for our club football camp which will begin in Connolly Park on Tuesday next, August 7th, agus will continue ‘till Saturday, August 11th. Three and a half hours of football fun each day…ó 9.30pm go dtí 1pm. Costas: €40 per player and €60 per family. Registration can be done on Tuesday morning. Fáilte is fiche roimh chách.

FAOI 6: (i) Football on Sunday morning at 11am in Caherslee. (ii) Football on Thursday at 5.45pm (go 6.45pm) i gCathair Sailí.

FAOI 8: (i) Our Under 8 boys (two teams) played Na Gaeil in challenge matches in Connolly Park on Sunday morning last. The results were very close and both games were most enjoyable. (ii) We’ll have more good Gaelic football at 11am on Sunday morning next in Caherslee. (ii) The 3rd round of our annual ‘Bracker’ Regan Cup competition will be played on Thursday (30th). FAOI 10: (i) More football fun on Sunday morning next i gCathair Sailí ag 11am. (ii) The John Galvin Tournament continues this Thursday (2nd) in Caherslee. Am tosaithe: 6.30pm. This competition is one the highlights of the year for the Under 10s and is played in memory of the late great John Galvin. ‘Gala’, as he was affectionately known, was a stalwart of the club throughout his juvenile and senior career, the highlight of which was winning a senior county championship medal in 1994.

He played at wing back le huimhir a seacht ar a dhroim. He went to his eternal reward at the tender age of 27. R.I.P.

PEIL FAOI 13: Preparations are well under way for the Annual Denis O’Connor Lee Strand Tournament which will take place on September 8th and 9th. It has been confirmed that all teams that participated in last year’s tournament will attend again this year. Beidh iomaíocht ghéar ann! We can look forward to brilliant games!

PEIL FAOI 14: (i) Central League (DIVISION 1): K-O’R proved too strong for us in our last game of the group stage and, dá bhrí sin, there was a 3 way tie for third spot. A public draw was held in Na Gaeil Clubhouse and names were drawn mar seo a leanas: 1st drawn…Na Gaeil. 2nd drawn…AdeS. That meant that Na Gaeil would play away v Laune Rangers in a semi-final. We (AdeS) played at home for a playoff v Ballymacelligott to decide which team finishes fourth in the table with an away semi-final against K-O’R. Playoff: AdeS v Ballymacelligott. Semi-finals: Monday 30th July at 7pm….K-O’R v AdeS/Ballymacelligott and Laune Rangers v Na Gaeil. (ii) The Kelliher’s Toyota (Tralee) Central Region DIVISION 4 FINAL was played between AdeS B and Laune Rangers B on Monday last (30th) in Austin Stack Park. Well done, boys!! (iii) Dé Sathairn idir 5pm agus 6pm – beimid ag traenáil.

PEIL FAOI 16: (i) Lee Strand County League (A team) – fixtures: (a) ‘Well done’ to our boys who had a great victory over Legion in Connolly Park. Final score:- AdeS A: 7-10; Legion: 0-10. (b) We have qualified for the semi-final of the County League in which we will challenge our Cillín neighbours, Na Gaeil. (ii) Lee StrandCounty League (B team) – fixtures: (a) Our Bs had a good win over v Cordal/Scartaglin. We say ‘well done’ to our boys; (b) AdeS B v Béal…1st August at 7pm; (c) 1st and 2nd placed teams will compete in the Division 7 semi-finals and 3rd and 4th placed teams will compete in the Division 8 semi-finals…8th August at 7pm; (d) final…15th August at 7pm. (iii) Training or game on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

IOMÁNAÍOCHT: What hurling was played on Saturday and Sunday!! If only some of our footballers took up hurleys! What a team we’d have!
