THERE was success for Austin Stacks and Radio Kerry in Croke Park over the weekend when delegations from the club and radio station picked up their McNamee awards.

The GAA McNamee Awards are held annually to honour excellence in the area of communications, public relations and journalism, specifically related to the activities of the GAA.

The ‘Rockumentary’, filmed, edited and directed by Rory Kirby, told the story of the Stacks amazing run to county and Munster final success.

Radio Kerry’s ‘Terrace Talk’ picked up ‘The Best GAA Related Radio Programme’ award.

Among those present were Liam Ó Néill, Uachtarán CLG, Marty Morrissey, RTÉ, Aidan O’Connor, Cathaoirleach Chlub Aibhistín de Staic, Elma Mhic Niocais, Rúnaí an Chlub, members of the Kirby family and friends, Radio Kerry’s Weeshie Fogarty and producer of ‘Terrace Talk’ Ciaran O’Regan.

The Rock faithful will be hoping this won’t be their only successful trip to Croke Park this year.
