Under 14 Girls

Ballymac 4-8 Listowel Emmets 2-2

The U14 girls needed to beat Listowel to ensure a home semi final in the Rose Hotel Div 2 Co League they got the result they needed .

Outstanding performances from our half backs Shona Griffen & Geraldyn Cassidy & centre back Alyssa Leen gave us a great platform and Roisin Rahilly & Ella Quirke drove the team forward in the first half

Shona O Connor contributed handsomely in the first 30mins  at wing forward notching 1-2 , Roisin Rahilly 1-0 and 2 points from Ciara Palmer 0-2 ensured we lead at half time 2-4 to 1-2 .

The 2nd half saw Niamh Lynch come in at half back & Geraldyn Cassidy move to full back & Alli Tarrant came on  at corner forward.

The changes seemed to improve us & 1-4 from Ciara Palmer (0-3 from frees) and a peach of a finish from Alli Tarrant gave us another goal to a goal for Listowel .

All in all a very good team performance , great to see others stepping up to the mark , defensively we were very good and work rate was excellent  . We now play Beaufort in Ballymac on 13th June at 7.30 pm

Team : Lorna Daly , Abbey Leahy , Grannie Galvin ,Alexia Weiss, Geraldyn Cassidy , Alyssa Leen , Shona Griffen , Roisin Rahilly (1-0) , Ella Quirke , Shona O Connor (1-2),Ciara Palmer (1-6) Nicole Walker , Eimer Curran , Yvonne Hurley , Kate Feeney
