AN amazing image of ‘Tralee On Fire’ from the hills outside Tralee has won first prize in the ’Images of Tralee Photo Competition’ run by Tralee Chamber Alliance (see photos below story).
The stunning picture captured the colour and excitement of the Midnight Madness celebrations on the last night of this year’s Rose of Tralee International Festival.
‘Tralee on Fire’ by photographer Billy Horan, was chosen ahead of nearly 300 other entries to the competition and earned him the top prize of €200.
The CEO of Tralee Chamber Alliance, Kieran Ruttledge, said: “We were delighted with the number of entries that were sent in, each depicting distinctive, original, striking images of Tralee featuring its people, places, faces and moments. The top 13 photos, in their own way, portray a fresh perspective on the town and its inhabitants and we wish to thank the photographers for submitting their pictures to the competition.”
The Runners-Up in the competition were ‘Tralee Town Park’ by Breda Diggins; ‘Graduation’ at Wetlands by Jane Davitt; ‘The Old Man & Sea’ by Sally Ryle (for story click here) and ‘Aquadome by Moonlight’ by Francis Foley.
