Cara Credit Union Gives And Receives Awards Galore

Cara Credit Union scooped three awards at the Credit Team Awards in Dublin on Friday.

GIVE, and it will be given to you.

This was certainly the case for Cara Credit Union over the past couple of days as they gave out loads of prizes and also won awards galore at two ceremonies.

On Thursday, they joined more than 68,800 credit unions around the world to celebrate the 70th annual International Credit Union Day.

It was a special day for many people who received random acts of kindness in the form of cash prizes, flowers and much more from employees on the streets of Tralee, Castleisland and Killorglin.

One man, Des Horan from Cloonmore Tralee became the 41st members car draw winner to drive away with a brand new Kia Stonic in their members car draw.

Then on Friday, at the 2018 Credit Team Awards in Dublin, Cara Credit Union won three awards for Credit Union Team of the Year, Financial Services Team of the Year and the Overall Credit Team of the Year 2018.

And the awards didn’t stop there. On Friday night at The Kerryman Business Awards 2018, they won another incredible five awards, including the Overall Winner.

It’s a fantastic series of achievements for the Credit Union which continues to go from strength to strength.

Also on Thursday, Marie Healy (wife of the late Lauri Healy) and Mary O’Brien retired board of director and friend to Lauri, helped officially open this round of the Lauri Healy Community Sponsorship Awards.

Cara Credit Union are now accepting applications from groups looking for funding towards a community project located within Tralee, Castleisland, Killorglin and surrounding areas.

Application forms are available to download on their website or in any of their three offices. Closing date for receipt of applications is 30th November 2018.
