SHANAKILL Family Resource Centre, Rahoonane Community Centre and Kerry Travellers Health and Community Development Project organised a coffee morning at Shanakill FRC on Thursday, March 23 in order to raise awareness around cancer.

The date was decided so that it would coincide with the anniversary of the the first ever Daffodil Day in Ireland, which took place on March 24, 1988.

The Marie Keating bus came down to the centre in support of the event. Spot prizes, donated by CH Chemists, Recovery Haven, the Irish Cancer society, Waddings Butchers were gratefully received and raffled off on the day.
