THE annual Kerry Garda Divisional Community Alert Neighbourhood Watch Text Alert meeting takes place this Thursday, April 5, at 7pm in The Rose Hotel.
The meeting will be chaired by Kerry Garda Division Chief Supt Tom Myers and superintendents from each district in Kerry will be attending. Chief Supt Myers will give a presentation on crime stats.
Speakers include Sgt Denis Beakley from Community Relations who will an national overview on behalf of the Crime Prevention Unit.

Garda Fidelma O’Leary from the Garda Victims Service Office will give a rundown on the workings of that office.
Also present will be Declan Collins from Cairde, a phone app which will be rolled out and is similar to the text alert service.
Mr Diarmuid Cronin, County Development Officer with Muintir na Tíre, a national voluntary organisation dedicated to promoting the process of community development, will also speak.
