The vacant site in Boherbee where a new boxing club building will be built.
KERRY County Council has approved plans to build a boxing club/community space at a site at Dean’s Lane in Boherbee, Tralee.
Councillors at the Tralee Municipal District meeting on Monday unanimously approved the plans at the meeting on Monday.
The development will include a boxing gym and gym hall, circulation area, changing rooms and toilets on the ground floor. On the first floor there will be meeting rooms, a community space, canteen, mezzanine, circulation area and toilets.
The two-storey development will also include, a new foul drain, storm drain and public water infrastructure works and all associated site works.
It will be located at the junction between Dean’s Lane and Boherbee on a site measuring 915sq m. However, construction may be a bit away yet as funding needs to be sourced for the project.
