THE Donal Walsh #LiveLife National Film Competition 2017/18 is now open for submissions.

The hugely popular competition has three categories Primary School, Secondary School and adult and always throws up some serious filmmaking talent.

“We want you to remember Donal and his “Live Life” ethos by getting you to create a two minute film and submit an entry to the competition,” said Mary Lucey of the LiveLife Film competition.

“This year the theme is ‘Take My Hand’. Please remember everybody is eligible to enter a film, you do not have to be an experienced film-maker, just take part! You can make a film alone, in a group of friends, as a class, as a group of students and there are three categories; primary school, secondary school and adult/general.”

Email livelifefilmcompetition@gmail.com with your contact details and the youtube or vimeo link of your film clip.

The closing date for entries is midnight on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2018.

The awards ceremony attended by celebrities will be held on February 21, 2018, in the Brandon Conference Centre, Tralee.  Last year saw over 800 in attendance so it will be an amazing event again next February.

RTE’s Winning Streak presenters, Marty Whelan and Sinead Kennedy, took time out to launch the search for entries recently. Have a look below…
