AT last, he got it!
Kerry’s unsung hero of the past number of years, Donnchadh Walsh, finally got an All-Star tonight on an occasion where three other Kerry footballers won awards.
Goalkeeper Brendan Kealy was rewarded for his star shot-stopping efforts all year, corner-back Shane Enright’s solid performances were worthy of his recognition, while Anthony Maher had a great season and was deserving of his All-Star.
It was a decent return of All-Stars for the eight Kerry players nominated with David Moran, James O’Donoghue, Jonathan Lyne and Paul Geaney missing out this time.
Dublin had seven players on the All-Star team, Mayo two and Monaghan and Tyrone had one each.
