GOOD Friday is just a couple of days away and people are being urged to support the two walks in aid of the Kerry Hospice in the Tralee area.

The Tralee walk will begin from The Grand Hotel at 10am on Friday, March 30. Walkers in the 22nd annual event will remember the late Ted Moynihan who passed away last month.

After the walk there will be tea and scones in The Grand Hotel for the participants.

Meanwhile, over at The Tankard, participants will set off on the Spa/Fenit Hospice Committee Jerry O’Sullivan Memorial Walk.

This is 10k scenic route starting at the well known bar/restaurant at 11am. There will be refreshments afterwards at the Tankard.

All funds raised will go towards the upkeep of the new 15-bed Palliative Care Unit.

There will be other walks taking place in various other locations in the county including Killarney, Killorglin, Inch and Listowel.

Organisers are encouraging everyone to come out with their families and get active in the enjoyable events for a great cause and donate on the day.
