Fashion Show Raises Thousands For Presentation Primary School

A FUNDRAISER on October 24 was a special night for all involved in Presentation Primary School and it was made more significant with a revelation on Friday morning.

A fashion show in The Rose Hotel was held where pupils and staff took to the catwalk and the event was a sellout with the school community coming together.

“It was a resounding success,” said Presentation Primary Principal, John Hickey. “We had GAA stars like David Moran and Aislinn Desmond supporting us on the night, while local shops and businesses were a great support for the event, so we were delighted it was a sellout,” added Mr Hickey.

Members of the Parents Council, who organised the event, were on hand for a special presentation in front of all the students on Friday morning where the total of €4,000 was presented. The money will be used to buy new lighting and sound equipment the school hall.

Meanwhile, the school will hold an open night next Thursday, November 28 from 11am and that night from 7pm. Every parent of a child going to school next September is invited to come along and learn more about the school.
