A NEW free parking period will be introduced in town this month.
From St Patricks Day, March 17, parking will be free every day from 4pm. The Council will soon commence phase 2 of their works in the town centre focusing on Bridge Street, Russell Street and Lower Rock Street.
Details of delivery arrangements, pedestrian movements, traffic management will be discussed in detail with businesses in the area regarding the works.
The Council says they hope the parking initiative will encourage additional footfall to the town during the works.
