GARDAI in Tralee have arrested a man following a burglary in Tralee on Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 2pm, Gardaí were alerted following reports of a burglary at private residence in the Tralee area.
The alarm was raised by the occupant after an intruder had entered her home and removed a number of items of property, including a sum of cash, before leaving the scene.

Local detectives and uniformed Gardaí quickly responded to the incident and a man in his 20s was arrested in the area a short time later.
He is currently detained under section 4 of the criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Tralee Garda
Station. All of the property taken was recovered.
