Gardaí Investigate Spate Of Burglaries In Tralee Area Over Short Period

GARDAI are investigating four burglaries which occurred in the Tralee area over a short period on Tuesday morning of last week.

In the early hours of May 1, at around 2am, two people broke into Dunnes Stores on the North Circular Road and stole a few boxes of confectionary items.

Later that morning, between 9am and 10.30am, at a house in the Blennerville/Curraheen area, entry was gained and damage caused to the door while the perpetrators got away with some property.

In the Oakpark/Racecourse Road area at around 9am, entry was gained to a house. Gardaí don’t believe there was much stolen during the incident.

Then at around 10.30am, entry was gained to a house in the Manor West/Killerisk area but the burglars were disturbed and left empty-handed. A black Saab car was seen leaving the area with false registration plates.

Gardai are keeping an open mind about whether the incidents are related and are following lines of enquiry.
