GARDAÍ are advising people to lock their houses and cars at all times after thieves struck at a Ballyard estate last night/this morning.
Between 7pm on Sunday and 7.30am on Monday morning, a garage was entered in the Gleann Scotia estate in Ballyard.

Nothing was taken and the unlocked car outside the door was also searched, but the thieves left empty handed.
Other residents in the estate were not so lucky though.
Three other unlocked cars in the estate were entered and this time items including cash and computer equipment.
