Gardai Issue Description Of Suspect In Double Stabbing

garda 2GARDAI have issued a description of the man they are searching for after a double stabbing in Monavalley this morning.

They are now following a definite line of enquiry  after a 47 year old man and his 18 year old son were stabbed. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, but the 47 year old has been transferred to Cork University Hospital for treatment.

Gardaí in Tralee are investigating the incident which occurred at a house in the normally quiet estate of Woodbrook Lawn at approximately 6am this morning.

An unknown male entered the grounds of a house at Woodbrook Lawn, Tralee, this individual is believed to have interfered with a car parked in the driveway.

He then walked around to the back of the house and was confronted by the home owner and his son. An altercation occurred resulting in the home owner  and his son received minor stab wounds.

The unknown male fled the scene in the direction of Monavalley Road.

Gardaí and Ambulance personal attended the scene and both injured men were taken to Kerry General Hospital.

The assailant is described as being 5 10/ 5 11, light blonde short hair, slim build and wearing a black hoodie with white stripes on the sleeves and has an Eastern European accent.
