FORMER 2FM DJ Colm Hayes was in town this week to collect a cheque for a great cause.

Garvey’s Supervalu staff held a fundraiser across its stores for a number of charities and €822 of that was donated to Cycle Against Suicide.

It’s a cause very close to the popular DJ’s heart and he was in town for the Cycle Against Suicide Spinoff event in August where hundreds of people took part in a cycle which finished heading up the Rose of Tralee parade on the Saturday of the festival.

While in Tralee, Colm also showed his support for Tim Moynihan and the store’s Operation Transformation challenge which is continuing with weekly recipes and walks every Tuesday and Thursday night at 6.30pm.
