THERE was a slight increase in the number of people signing on in August according to the latest Live Register figures.
They show that 5,713 people signed on in August, compared to 5,701 in July.
Meanwhile the number signing on in Kerry is just under 12,300 with decreases across the other major towns in Kerry, except for Listowel which saw a slight increase to 2,515.
The number in Killarney stands at 1,703, Caherciveen 440, Killorglin 974, Dingle 614 and Kenmare’s figure is 339.
