TRALEE will get a tourism shot in the arm over Christmas and the New Year as hundreds of card players from all over the country descend for the Tralee International Bridge Congress 2015.

The congress takes place from Wednesday, December 30 to Sunday, January 3 and will be held at the Manor West Hotel.

Minister Jimmy Deenihan that Tralee International Bridge Congress and similar events around the county have brought over 1,500 bridge players from all over Ireland and abroad to Kerry during the shoulder periods in tourism and for over 50 years have boosted the local economy.

Recovery Haven will benefit from the competition that has been going for over 40 years, which this year is sponsored by Home Instead Senior Care.
