SENIOR MEN CO LEAGUE:
Round 4: Home to Dr Crokes
Before the commencement of the game the U10 boys formed a Guard of Honour for both teams and there was a Minutes Silence before throw in for Francis Galvin who passed away earlier this week. The throw in was at 6.30 p.m.

The evening was blustery with a strong cross field wind. Crokes opened the scoring with a point from Shane Murphy followed by a point from a free from Chris Brady. Mitchels got on the score board in the 16th minute with a point from a free from James Duggan leaving the score at the end of the 1st quarter Mitchels 0-01, Crokes 0-02.

Crokes followed on with a point from play from Tony Brosnan followed by a speculative high ball into the Mitchels square Which was deflected into the Mitchels goal by Paul Clarke.

This was going to be the decisive score of the game. Mitchels to their credit fought back with scores from Niall Sheehy from play and a James Duggan free. Crokes finished the first half with a Daithi Casey point from play and Tony Brosnan free leaving the half time score Mitchels 0-03, Crokes 1-05.

Crokes opened the 2nd half with a point from play from Jason Lyne followed by a Mitchels point from play from Niall Sheehy. Crokes scored a further 2 points and Mitchels pulled one back with a James Duggan converted free leaving the scores going into the last quarter Crokes 1-08, Mitchels 0-05.

In the last quarter, Crokes added on a further 3 points which was matched with points from Conor Hurley, George Bastible both from play and a converted free by Alan O’Donoghue leaving the final score Mitchels 0-08, Dr Crokes 1-11.

U10 Boys:
The U10 boys had a great weekend as we got to play at half time in the senior game and got to show off our skills to the crowd.

The lads put on a great performance with Mark, Brogan, Will, James and Oisin getting well involved and making big contributions. Gerard, Robert, Adam, Jack, Pascal and Jim showed great tenacity and skill. Those in the crowd were impressed with everyone that played and will be keeping an eye on them for the future. Well done to all the players.

On Sunday we trained and did a lot of work on our weaker leg and hand and by the end we could see a great improvement in everyone. The game at the end was very competitive and we would like to wish the Community Games team all the best. Go games on Wednesday in Na Gael and be there no later than 6.15 p.m. and make sure to bring Gum shields.
