A huge thanks to everyone who was able to March with John Mitchel’s in the Saint Patricks Day Parade, you all did the club proud & thanks again to all the parents for helping out as well. Next Sunday we’re back training so kids don’t forget to keep on practicing & we’ll see you all again next Sunday 10.00am to 11.00am in our sport’s complex.

We continue training Wednesday at 5.45pm sharp on the Flood lit pitch.

Senior ladies training continues Thursday evening at 7pm. All new players welcome from 16 years and up. If you want to keep fit and make new friends then John Mitchel’s is the place to be.

The annual County Clean-Up Day has been launched and everyone in the county is being asked to get involved and play their part. Now in its seventh year and with the support of Kerry County Council and KWD Recycling, the County Clean-up will take place on Saturday, 13th April. We at John Mitchel’s will be taking part in this initiative and we will be calling on members to volunteer a little of their time on the day….

Go For Life is going to keep going. It has been successfully run for six weeks at Ballyseedy and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Due to demand Trevor has agreed to continue with the Friday morning exercise/games programme. Come and join the fun at 10am. Ring 086 1611061 for more information.

We have joined up with St Vincent De Paul to rise much needed funds for both John Mitchel’s and SVP. Vincent’s charity shops are a very important aspect of the service SVP provides. Not only do they provide people with new and lightly worn items at affordable prices, they also provide an income source for the Society, which is recycled directly back into the community.

By donating your second-hand clothes and unwanted items to your closest charity shops, not only will you be freeing up space in your home, you will also be making a difference to people in need, in your community.

We now have an SVP clothes bank in our car park at our state-of-the-art sports facility in Ballyseedy.

What you can donate:

Good quality, clean unwanted and used clothes and shoes

Bags and accessories

Jewellery and valuables

Second hand Books

Music (CDs, vinyl, DVDs, videos, instruments and sheet music)

Homewares: china, kitchenware, ornaments, pictures

Soft furnishings: small rugs, linen, curtains
