UNDER 7 BOYS & GIRLS

The under 7 boys and girls had a great training session Sunday morning. Numbers are improving each week which is fantastic.

The weather held out for the boys and girls so  they all went home happy.

There is no training next Sunday due to a Club Coaching Course.

Next training session will be Sunday June 5th.

New players are always welcome.

U8/U10/GIRLS

We had 25 girls training on Sunday last and it was a really great session.  The coaches have noticed huge improvements from both u8 and u10 girls.

The girls worked on a kicking drill and then straight into hand passing which came into use straight away during their game.

The girls were due to play Churchill on Wednesday last but was postponed due to bad weather conditions.

The coaches are working hard to get the girls as many game time as possible, so stayed tuned for further details.

U12 Girls.

The Under 12 girls were away to Firies last Wednesday night where they put up a strong performance against a tough opposition but unfortunately missed out on the victory by a single point.

Firies 1-5
John Mitchel’s 1-4

The girls recommenced training on Sunday morning and had an intense training session and are looking forward to welcoming Spa at home on Wednesday evening, throw in at 7:15.  All support welcome.

U14 GIRLS

UNDER 9 BOYS

John Mitchel’s U9 Boys put in another great training session on Sunday last in preparation for our away game to Spa later in the week.

This week we once again played very small sided games to make sure everyone is included & gets on the ball as much as possible before we play our normal 7 a side. Great to see improvements every week but as we keep saying “Keep practicing during the week”

We are away to Spa later this week with more details to follow via text. Training  takes a break on Sunday due to a club coaching course and  of course the Kerry V Limerick Final.

All Newcomers Welcome

UNDER 11 BOYS

Our U11 boys put in two great shifts on Thursday night and Sunday morning. Anthony got the sleepy heads  awake and gave the boys an ‘ Ultimate Hell Week’,  hill session and Aaron put them through their paces with some fundamental movement and drills .

We had  2 very competitive games with  a strong emphasis on tackling. Phase 2 of the County League  will resume on Thursday  2 June .

We will train Thursday night at 6pm on the Astro and we will take a break next Sunday morning due to a club coaching workshop.
