Strand RoadJuveniles

U6/8/10

Saturday morning training got off to a fine start on Saturday last with Healy Park basking in glorious sunshine. There were very large numbers in attendance with everyone eager to get back into the swing of things. Training continues on Saturday next at 11am in Healy Park Ballyrickard. All welcome.

U8/10

Girls All the preparation is done and the U10 girls head off to Passage West in Cork on Saturday next to take part in the annual tournament there. We would like to wish the girls and their mentors the best of luck with the day.

U14s

On Wednesday last our U14’s put in a very spirited performance in going under to a very strong Ballymac team. We got off to the perfect start with a goal from Conor Hayes in the first minute, but despite plenty of possession we could not convert the chances we had. We lost Ben Foley just after half time with a head injury following an accidental challenge.

We’d like to thank Ballymac for their assistance in attending to Ben and their sportsmanship for playing with 14 players for the remainder of the game. We dug in and played some great football and scored further goals from Darragh Fitz and Thomas White and we were very unlucky not to score a couple of more. This was a great team performance and the boys can be extremely proud of themselves. Best wishes to Ben in his recovery.
