THE Kerry Hospice Foundation launched its Christmas Card fundraiser on Monday night.

This annual fundraiser, sponsored by Kerry Group, hopes to raise tens of thousands towards the continued development and provision of care in the Palliative Care Centre at University Hospital Kerry, which is currently being built.

The Kerry Hospice Foundation has committed to raising €400,000 per year towards staffing costs at the unit for the first five years of its existence. The cards, designed by local artists, will be available to buy in shops around the county.
