And under the Keeping Kerry Active 2021 programme which is supported by Sport Ireland clubs can apply for a grant of €400 from KRSP to run a 4 hour programme.

“We are hoping to see up to eight clubs provide the programme across the county in September aimed at getting people a little more active and walking football provides that for an age group of over 45’s both male and female with the hope to get more people engaged with clubs and maybe encourage them to take a more active role as a volunteer into the future,” Donal Barry, Kerry Recreation and Sports Partnership Outreach Programme Officer confirmed.

The commencement of programmes will be the beginning of September 2021 with the deadlines for applications no later than August 20th, 2021, via email to keepingkerryactive2021@gmail.com

Once signed up the programme offerings will go live via Eventbrite which will take the details and payment of the participants. Each club will have to detail their Covid-19 compliance policies for participants ahead of any programme taking place.
