Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership have partnered with Listowel Kayak Club, and Kerry Canoe Club to invite women to join them for the beginner sessions, suitable for women with or without prior experience on the water.

There will be three different time slots available on both days for people to choose from, 10:00, 12:15 and 14:30. All equipment will be provided. The cost is €10 per person (plus booking fee) and participants must be over 18 years of age.

HER Outdoors week aims to celebrate and encourage more females to get out and enjoy the benefits of being in the outdoors while bringing visibility to the opportunities for females to get involved in outdoor physical activity.

Early registration is recommended, as spaces are limited. Maeve Ryan, Kerry Recreation and Sports Partnership said; “These taster sessions will be a great opportunity for women to try a new activity and to meet new people and get active, while being outdoors in nature and on the water. It is also a great opportunity for women to step out of their comfort zone, to try something new and potentially join a local kayaking club after”.
