The Moving On programme is going from strength to strength since it began three years ago with over 150 women participating in the programme so far.
This year’s events culminated in a Graduation ceremony and Christmas Market at Aras an Phobail, Tralee recently.
“Women are so talented and creative. We had a huge array of handcrafted gifts as well as delicious home baking. Photographer Anne O’Sullivan beautifully documented the morning,” said Project Coordinator Lisa Fingleton.

“Moving On has been successful in securing PEIL funding for the next three years up to Autumn 2022. This is a tribute to all the women who contribute their energy and commitment to making the project such a success. The next programme starts in January 2020 and there is already a waiting list for places, due to the popularity of the programme,” said Lisa O’Flaherty, who also coordinates Moving On.
The Moving On programme is managed by Lisa Fingleton and Lisa O’Flaherty and is based in the NEWKD offices in Listowel. Sheila Martin will join the team in January.
The programme works in partnership with the IT Tralee and KETB to provide Information Technology Skills. The Moving On programme works closely with Kerry Business Women’s Network (KBWN) and other projects within NEWKD. This project is co-funded by the Irish Government and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning (PEIL) 2014-2020.
