THE ‘Walk 4 Autism’ (see previous story here) is gearing up to take place this weekend and it’s hoped a large crowd will take part in the fundraising event at John Mitchels GAA grounds on Sunday, July 12 at 1pm.

Joan O’Keeffe, the organiser behind the walk is hoping that the the 5km walk/run will help to raise funds for the purchase of new equipment for children with Autism and to help equip the classrooms properly in St Ita’s & St Joseph’s school.

The whole day is aimed at being a fun day out for all the family with face painting and a bouncy castle lined up for the kids, with teas and coffees and other refreshments on hand to help the parents and older ones relax.

There is still time to register to take part in the event, which will cost €10, and which can be done through the event page here.
