GARDAI in Tralee are investigating two separate incidents of robbery and assault on the streets of the town in the past week.

Between 2.30pm and 3pm on Easter Saturday, a man was walking down a laneway off Ashe Street when he was approached by three males.

One of them produced a blade and demanded money from the man, which he handed over. One of the males is described as being in their late 20s, shaved head, white Adidas tracksuit bottoms and a black t-shirt.

Another was described as wearing white shorts with a black vest top and had a web tattoo on his neck. Gardaí are asking if anyone saw these males around town at that time to please contact Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.

Also, gardaí are investigating an assault in the town last week. In the early hours of Thursday, April 18 at 3am, a man was struck in the face with a hockey stick on Castle Street and suffered facial injuries. Again, any information to Tralee Garda Station.
