Man Who Died After Stabbing Was From North Kerry

THE man who died following a stabbing incident in Cahersiveen this morning has been named as Robert Elston.

He was originally from Croagh, Lisselton.  A 20-year-old man has been arrested and is being detained at Killarney Garda Station following the incident, which happened shortly after 4am in a house at Fertha Drive in the town.

Mr Elston (33) was taken to University Hospital Kerry where he was pronounced dead.

Gardaí are appealing to witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident or have information  to contact them at Caherciveen Garda Station on 066-9473600 , The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
