MANOR West Hotel Leisure Centre has been awarded the Ireland Active National Quality Standard Award for the Leisure Club Hotel category award at the Ireland Active Awards.

The awards took place on Friday night, November 25, at the Slieve Russell Hotel, Cavan. The awards are the most sought-after and respected accolades in the leisure and fitness industry.

The awards reward excellence for facilities in the sector that meet the operational standards across 250 quality-based criteria and are endorsed by Sport Ireland.

Catríona Cantillon Leisure Club Manager at Manor West Hotel, said; “We are absolutely delighted to have achieved this award. It’s the first time a Kerry based Hotel Leisure Club has achieved this award category. It’s great that all hard work has been acknowledged.”

The National Quality Standard Awards (previously known as the White Flag Awards), have been in operation since 2001 and are the only industry specific award for the Leisure, Health and Fitness sector in Ireland. The Ireland Active National Quality Standard (NQS) Award encompasses four criteria safety, hygiene, customer engagement and human resources.  All criteria must be met at Achieved level to reach the standard.
