Back in April, the company told TraleeToday.ie;  “McDonald’s Ireland is committing to an investment of over €1m in our restaurants in Tralee and Killarney over the next 18 months. This investment will significantly enhance our customers’ experience in Kerry and beyond. We are keeping the option to develop our Tralee restaurant into a two-story structure under consideration, but in the meantime will proceed with refurbishing the building in 2017.”

These refurbishments to the existing building will begin in September and as a result, the restaurant will close on September 3 until October 4.

The improvements will include a new kitchen, layout and the introduction of food being delivered to tables.
