U-9s:

Milltown/Castlemaine’s U-9 Boys team have had a busy past two weeks on the field of play.
On Friday evening, September 2nd they travelled to Churchill as part of a mini-blitz where they encountered plenty of rain and wind as they had two games against Churchill and Laune Rangers and last Tuesday, September 6th they were back on home soil at the Paddy Burke Memorial Park as they welcomed Firies for 3 fifteen minute matches.
Both sides produced some very entertaining football with plenty of skills on display. There are great improvements being made by this cohort of players on a weekly basis which is testament to the hard work of the players, the sterling efforts and dedication of management and the tremendous support being offered by the parents/guardians. Well done everyone.

Milltown/Castlemaine’s U-15 side were unfortunate to lose out to John Mitchels last week in the Central Region Division 2 Semi-Final.

In what was a thrilling end to end game of football played on sporting terms, it was the Tralee side who ran out two point winners in the end on a score of 2-18 to 3-13. Hard luck to the players and management on a great effort.
