IT’S that time of year again when Na Gaeil prepares to welcome the club faithful to their annual Race Night fundraiser.
Last year’s event was the most successful to date so they’re hoping for similar support from the community on Friday, November 17 at 8pm in the clubhouse.
All horses purchased will be entered in a draw to compete in the prestigious final race, The Na Gaeil Gold Cup, with a prize of €1,000 for the winner. If people can’t make it, it will also be live-streamed on Facebook.

It costs €50 to purchase a horse and you can win €75 in a standard race. There will also be a Best Dressed Lady and Gent competition with great prizes for both.
Horses can be purchased online via Klubfunder or in the clubhouse, but hurry as the deadline for buying a horse is November 10.

The Na Gaeil club has enjoyed another good year with the senior men competing in the Kerry Senior County Championship quarter-final for the first time ever. All-Star nominee Diarmuid O’Connor and Jack Barry played at midfield for Kerry in the All-Ireland final.
Meanwhile, Mary O’Connell, Eilis O’Connor, Deirdre Kearney were on the Kerry panel for the All-Ireland final with Laura Fitzgerald as goalkeeper coach.
The proceeds of the Race Night are vital funding for catering for all training requirements for over 500 boys and girls, from under 6 to Senior; catering for Scór na nÓg and Scór Sínsir and maintaining and upgrading club facilities, both indoors and outdoors.
