AUSTIN Stacks have confirmed that Wayne Quillinan has been appointed as the senior football team manager for the forthcoming season.

He takes over from Pat Flanagan who stepped down after Austin Stacks defeat to West Kerry in the county championship quarter-final.

He was previously in charge of their senior team from 2009 to 2012, a period during which Stacks contested the Senior Championship final in 2010, being beaten by Dr Crokes in the decider.

They were successful in the Division One County League final in 2011, beating Dingle in the final.

He had previously been in charge of both the Minor and Under 21 squads from 2006 to 2008, with the club winning the Under 21 Club Championship in 2008 beating Castlegregory in the decider.

He guided the Club’s Minors to Division One League success this season with a final victory over Dr Crokes.

His backroom team will consist of Jonathan Conway and Eoin Colgan as Selectors, and Damien Ryall as Strength and Conditioning Coach.
