IT’S been quite a week for a young Tralee athlete with success running for her school and in a 5k event on Sunday.
Niamh O’Mahony of Presentation Secondary School Tralee came in second place in the All-Ireland schools cross country championships at W.I.T. sports arena on Saturday, March 10.
Niamh, a third year student, now goes as a member of the Irish team to the International S.I.A.B. schools cross country championship in Nottingham on March 24.

Eight days later she took part in the Tralee Marathon 5k event and was the first female home in 19:40. A fantastic achievement for the young runner from Monavalley.
