No Additional COVID Cases In Kerry, 448 Nationally

THERE no new cases of COVID-19 reported for Kerry today.

There were eight additional deaths and 448 new cases of the virus reported nationally. Of the deaths reported today, three occurred in March, two in February and three occurred in January or earlier.

The 14 day incidence of new cases for Kerry is 14.2 per 100,000 people.  There have been 21 cases reported in Kerry in the same period and the rolling five day average of cases is 0.8.

Kerry is the county with the second lowest incidence of cases (after Sligo) in the past 14 days. The national incidence rate over the past 14 days is 129.7.

229 of today’s cases were recorded in Dublin, 38 in Meath, 35 in Kildare, 34 in Cork, 16 in Limerick and the remaining 96 cases are spread across 16 other counties.

There have now been 254,013 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland and 4,937 people who died with the virus since the start of the pandemic.

As of 8am today, 109 patients with Covid-19 were hospitalised, including 34 in ICU.

As of Monday 10th May, 1,882,635 doses of COVID19 -vaccine have been administered in Ireland:

•1,376,583 people have received their first dose
•506,052 people have received their second dose
