THE organisers of  ‘Darkness Into Light’ Tralee are inviting people to come along to a special launch next week to encourage as many people as possible to take part in the May event.

The launch will take place at Pieta House in 28 Moyderwell (near the entrance to Presentation Secondary School) on Tuesday, March 29 at 7pm.

People will be able to find out more about the event and about Pieta House itself and much more. There will also be special guests on the night along with speakers.

Organiser Colin ‘Poshey’ Aherne has been getting well known figures from the world of sport, entertainment, business and media to lend their support over the past couple of months, while there was also a representation from the event taking part in the St Patrick’s Day parade.

The ‘Darkness Into Light’ Tralee event takes place at 4.15am on Saturday, May 7 at CBS The Green Secondary School.

Supported by Electric Ireland, the 5km walk will take place in 110 locations nationwide and across the world. For more information, click onto their Facebook page here.
