Orlagh new profile 1EVERY lady I have ever spoken to loves a good night out with the girls. A night is even better when it is supporting a great cause.

I have said in the past how charitible we are here in Kerry and we are great at supporting local charities. Well on Friday the 4th of September there is a super night planned in aid of a hugely important charity.

The Kerry Cancer Support Group Health Link Bus is a vital service for so many people in our community.

Cancer is a horrible disease that unfortunately almost every family will be touched by at some stage.

The bus provides transport to the people of Kerry who have to go to Cork hospitals for their treatment.

For those of you who know anyone who is going through chemotherapy or radiotherapy as part of the road to recovery, it is a very hard time both for the patient and for the family.

Unfortunately life must go on and it is not always possible for family members to take their loved ones to appointments and therefore they rely on this important service.

So what can you do to help? You can get your girlfriends together and get to “A Fashion Soirée” in Manor West Hotel. The event promises to be a lovely evening of fashion and fun.  There is also music and dancing so get the dancing shoes ready.

Although we can hardly believe that our Summer is over as the sun barely shun, believe it or not at the moment shops are now receiving their Autumn/Winter collections.

On the catwalk on the night you will see style from award winning milliners and fabulous boutiques as well as from Debenhams and TK Maxx.

Some amazing deisgners will also be showing us their latest creations. The theme for the night is racing fashion as we have Listowel races in just a few weeks.

You will be treated to Ladies Day fashion tips from award winning milliner Carol Kennelly, let’s face it, it is always great to hear tips from the maestro.

Another wonderful aspect of the night is the prize up for grabs for the Best Dressed Lady. Our favourite Tralee gal Mary O’Donnell will  be responsible for judging the style on the night and I have no doubt that she will have a tough job.

The prize includes a luxury day out at Listowel Races Ladies Day, which has a new sponsor this year, Mc Elligotts Honda.

The date for the diary for that is September 18th. Supermodel Alison Canavan and Kerry’s own Brian Purcell will be the duo to impress on the day.

Ladies gather the troops, enjoy a night out, the kids are back at school, it is for a very good cause and the tickets are only €30.

There is a special early bird offer of €50 for two tickets if they are booked before this Friday. Tickets are available from reception at Manor West Hotel, Carraig Donn and Jasmine boutiques.

We all want to see what is hot for the coming seasons and the great thing is that all  budgets are catered for with the choice of shops showcasing on the night.

Until next week,

Stay stylish!

Orlagh xx
