TRALEE Credit Union has appointed Pa Laide as their new CEO.
A native of Tralee and well known former Kerry footballer, Pa has over 27 years’ experience working in financial services with AIB Bank and has held various positions in management and business development.
More recently, Pa has been Branch Manager with AIB in Newcastle West, Limerick, with responsibility for the micro market in Limerick county.

Having completed his first week in his new role Pa said; “I’m delighted to return to Kerry working with Tralee Credit Union. I’m really looking forward to the challenge and developing the role with such a great team of professionals at board, management and staff level. I feel privileged to be working with such a strong credit union as Tralee Credit Union. They have just completed their year-end with tremendous success and are shortlisted for a number of upcoming awards. Results like these do not just happen, they are a result of hard work and dedication from the board, management and staff and loyalty and trust of members.”
He continued; “Credit Unions are different from other financial institutions, not just because they are not for profit, but because they are embedded within the community. It’s not a coincidence that credit unions topped the customer experience poll for a third consecutive year last week, members are their key focus, they put their members at the heart of everything they do. As decisions are made locally, credit unions have the flexibility to provide services that are tailored to the individual needs of members. Lending is Tralee Credit Union’s main source of income so it’s important that members access credit and use our services. I look forward to working with the team, developing our suite of services and establishing relationships with our members, businesses and communities throughout Tralee, Castleisland and Killorglin.”
