LAST night was a good one for businesses in the Tralee area as they scooped a fair share of the awards at the Radio Kerry’s ‘Best Of Kerry 2022 Awards’, sponsored by Lee Strand.
Taking place at an event at the Dúchas Comhaltas Ceoltoirí Centre at the Kerry Sports Academy, Tralee, there were 17 winners announced at the inaugural awards.
Of these, eight went to Tralee businesses; Sean Ógs Bar on Bridge Street won Best Pub; Ballygarry Estate took home two awards for Best Spa (Nadúr) and Best Hotel; Emma Quirke Hair won Best Hairdresser; Expose Beauty Lounge & Hair Studio in Mounthawk won Best Beauty Salon; Austin Stacks won Best Jersey; Kingdom Food & Wine Store won Best Sandwich and the Rose of Tralee was named Best Festival.
Meanwhile, Sandy Feet Farm in Camp, owned by Tralee couple Roy Bowler and Eleanor Wall, won Best Family Business and just ‘out the road’, Kate Brownes in Ardfert won Best Restaurant. Photographer Domnick Walsh was there to take photos of the local winners…
